At Pennino Family Dentistry, our family is proud to serve yours with the very best in dental care. Combining years of clinical experience with a warm and caring environment, we offer preventative and restorative dentistry with a focus on overall oral health care to patients in the Barrington area.
Founded in 1990, our practice is led by Dr. Doug Pennino and his sons Dr. Chase Pennino and Dr. Connor Pennino, who together have built a family-led, family-focused practice. Our approach combines years of dental excellence with the latest in technology. Our caring doctors and team look forward to helping you and your family keep your teeth healthy and your smile bright.

Dr. Doug Pennino
As the senior dentist at Pennino Family Dentistry, I have successfully guided and grown our practice for almost 30 years. I believe in using the best materials and techniques in a pleasant and empathetic environment to improve my patients’ health. I belong to the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association and Chicago Dental Society.
Outside of work, I enjoy social outings with family and friends, as well as golf and fishing. It may be hard to believe now but at one point I was a college pole vaulter at the University of Iowa. I earned my undergraduate and DDS degrees from the University of Iowa and take continuing education courses regularly to stay current with the most recent techniques in dentistry.

Dr. Chase Pennino
I value lifelong learning and participate in many continuing education opportunities. I treat all patients as if I am working on my own family and enjoy taking the time necessary to get the job done well. I am very detail oriented and take pride in the dental care I provide. One of my passions in dentistry is through educating my patients. I enjoy spending the extra time, sharing the “why” behind the recommended treatment.
I also believe in the power of photography. My goal is to explain to you the condition of your tooth, along with showing you a visual to go along with it. I understand how important it is for you the patient to be able to see what I am seeing.
When I am away from work, I enjoy all outside activities when the Midwest weather allows for it. My typical vacation usually involves fishing, hiking, and camping.

Dr. Connor Pennino
As a dentist at Pennino Family Dentistry I provide restorative, preventative, cosmetic, and emergency dental services. One of the most important professional commitments has been with my continuing education. Dr. Doug, Dr. Chase and I strive to learn as much as possible to improve our clinical skills and knowledge while staying current with the ever-changing landscape of dentistry. My promise to you is to provide care in a gentle and compassionate manner, making your dental visit simple and painless.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling with my wife, playing golf with friends and family, fishing with my three brothers (Chase, Corbin, and Cameron), and baking bread.

Dr.Shadee Mansour
I earned my DMD from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine/Graduated 2018. I completed general practice residency at the Ohio State University and gained advanced training treating medically compromised and special needs patients at the Wexnar Medical Center, Pediatric Patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Veterans at the VA hospital.
My main focus in dentistry is to provide family-oriented comprehensive dental care, striving not only to treat existing disease but to prevent disease and promote oral health through education and compassion. I love building confidence through each smile. It is truly rewarding to give someone back their smile and see them light up a room. I also enjoy meeting new patients and connecting with them and their families.
My Healthcare Philosophy is to provide high-quality comprehensive care through the promotion of oral health and the connection to the whole body while providing advanced dental care, continuous learning, and compassion. I strive to improve the lives of my patients in a comfortable and relaxed family-centric environment. My special interest in dentistry is in oral surgery and endodontics.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. Another passion of mine is in giving back to my community. I have volunteered for The Special Olympics, Give Kids a Smile Foundation, Dentistry from the Heart, and provided comprehensive care on 2 dental missions trips to Jamaica.

Amy Pennino
As marketing manager, I enjoy the challenge in finding new creative ways to “spread the word” about Pennino Family Dentistry. In addition to loving what I do, I’m aware of how lucky I am to be part of such a friendly, caring, and customer-centric dental office. I work with the most talented and kindest team in the Barrington area.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with our four boys, two new daughter in-laws, family and friends. One of my goals is to spend more time traveling to see various canyons such as Bryce, Zion, the Grand Canyon and many more.
I am also grateful to have the opportunity to work not only with my husband Dr. Doug, but with our two oldest sons, Dr. Chase and Dr. Connor. Being part of a family business has been a high point for each one of us and I am proud to say we all share the same philosophy about patient care. Every day our goal is to treat all patients like family, because when you are here… you are family.

For the last seven years, I have been Pennino Family Dentistry’s office manager. I am very proud to be part of an office that provides such unparalleled care and service to its patients. My favorite part of the job is making personal connections with our patients and helping in any way I can. I am committed and dedicated to helping PFD be the best dental office for our patients and team members.
My husband and I celebrated a milestone anniversary last year. We have two kids and are grandparents to a beautiful baby girl. Stop by my office and I’ll happily share pictures and videos with you! When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and foods, working out, cooking, exploring resale and antique shops, and—most importantly—spending time with family and friends.

Carol B
I love my job at Pennino Family Dentistry, in large part for the opportunity to connect with our wonderful patients and great team. As the front desk manager, I believe everyone should feel “at home” when they come to PFD and be happy they chose us as their dental provider.
In addition to managing the front desk, I also handle all insurance claims for our sleep apnea device. Many of our patients have found great success with the Dynaflex device, and it’s rewarding to help our patients improve their lives, one night at a time.
Outside the office, I enjoy being with family and friends. My husband and I have three girls, two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren. We have lived in Crystal Lake for 30 years and also enjoy time away together in Minocqua, Wisconsin. I love to golf, work out, and travel.

Rhetta K
I was raised in Cary, but have lived in Crystal Lake since 1989. I have worked with Dr. Pennino for 27 years as his chairside assistant.
I currently manage the clinical section of the office, take care of all sterilization of instruments and occasionally assist when needed. My role is to make sure everything is running smoothly.
I am a mother of a wonderful daughter and son, and the grandmother of two awesome boys.

I love finding creative and exciting ways to promote our office throughout the community. It’s important to me to educate others on the importance of good dental health.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me on the tennis courts, working out, or creating something fun in the kitchen. I am blessed with a wonderful family and we all love to spend time together.

Although I am brand new to the dental field, I bring expansive experience and passion for customer service and relationship-building. I am lucky to be a part of such a professional team of people here at PFD!
Originally from NC, I currently live in Barrington with my husband and youngest son. I am a proud mom of two sons and a daughter and enjoy painting, nature, gardening, and traveling.

Andrea A
As a front desk coordinator, I love to help the patients with payment plans and questions about insurance. A native of upstate New York who is relatively new to the area, I’ve spent five years in the dental field.
My ten-year-old Labradoodle is my number-one companion when I am out of the office, and I love discovering a new dog park as often as possible. I am delighted with my newfound family here at Pennino Family Dentistry

Denise L
I love being part of the amazing front office staff at Pennino Family Dentistry! I have worked for dental practices all my adult life, and PFD is the biggest one. I marvel at the skills and gifts each person brings to the practice to make us such a great team.
Outside of work, my partner Charles and I are busy rehabbing a 110-year-old home on the Fox River. We have large gardens, a puppy, and two goats—all of which keep us very busy.

Stephanie Y
I support the front desk at Pennino Family Dentistry. With 15 years of experience in the field, I add to the heart of this practice through my passion for growing relationships with patients and providing the absolute best experience they can have.
I have always loved surrounding myself with my children, family and friends.

I have been a dental hygienist with Pennino Family Dentistry since 2011—and I have loved my career choice. Since 2014, I have been the Team Leader for the dental hygienists, and I have had the honor of assembling and working with the best team of hygienists we’ve ever had. Pennino Family Dentistry has been a great fit for me, as the team values ethics, positivity, service, and continued growth. I have an 18-year-old daughter, Cristina, and a two-year-old dachshund named Frankie. I like to bike, do yoga, and work out and am grateful for good health, God, friends, and family.

Courtni J
As a friendly, empathetic, and compassionate professional, I strive to understand how each patient I am treating is feeling. I especially enjoy helping anxious patients overcome their fears by walking them through the process and making sure they feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. A professional highlight for me was traveling to Mexico to provide free dental services to underdeveloped villages for a week—so exhausting but so rewarding! I earned my bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Southern Illinois University in 2013.
When I’m not here, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a three-year-old son and am expecting a daughter in July. As a family, we enjoy boating and travel.

Laura M
I graduated in 2009 from Harper College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have been practicing locally for the last 10 years. I love my profession and am passionate about keeping patients’ smiles healthy. Working with Pennino Family Dental is my dream job, and I love working with our amazing dental team.
In my free time, you can find me growing vegetables at the Smart Farm of Barrington, playing soccer at Canlan, paddleboarding on the Fox River, working out at Crossfit SAA and hiking with my big dog George.

Brittany H
My favorite part of my job is working with patients. It is important for me to treat everyone I see like family. It is important for me to work at a dental office that is very organized yet has a family feel. I believe in giving back to my community and have worked for NIRSA and have volunteered as well. When I am not working I enjoy boating, running, and spending time with my family and my little bunny Moo. My dream is to travel to Italy and learn to wakeboard.

As a member of the Pennino Family Dentistry hygienist team, I provide treatment for optimal oral health for our awesome patients. Prior to getting a degree in dental hygiene, I was an oral surgery assistant for five years, where I gained certifications in DAANCE and ACLS. Even at a young age, I enjoyed going to the dentist and chatting with my hygienist. Today, educating patients on ways to obtain a healthy oral environment, while working together to gain a confident smile, makes my heart happy.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.

Emily S
As a member of the hygienist team, I help patients take control of their oral health by educating them on the oral/system health connection, by providing good oral hygiene instruction, and by teaching them how to control periodontal disease between cleanings. My goal is for every patient to be educated so that they can make informed decisions about health—and live a healthier life.
Outside the office, I am a wife and mother. I enjoy gardening, playing outside with my family, and mentoring young women at our local church. As a basketball family—my husband is a coach—we spend a lot of time cheering, and I organize the yearly March Madness bracket for PFD—I am still waiting to win!

Dolores P
I have been a full-time member of the Pennino Family Dentistry team since 2018. I am committed to improving the oral health of our patients by providing comprehensive dental hygiene care and patient education. I regularly attend continuing education classes and seminars affiliated with professional organizations such as the ADHD. I earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Iowa in 1987.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with my family.

Brittney H
My goal at Pennino Family Dentistry is to help provide the best patient care. That’s why it is so important to me that the lab and the entire office is always clean. Working at PFD is more than just a job to me—I am truly inspired every day by how skilled our hygienists are. I love learning and helping others at the same time, and every day I try to be the best that I can be and work harder than I did yesterday.
When I am not here, I am usually at school—Harper College, where I am studying to be a dental hygienist—or with my family and two puppies.

Emily P
I help with sterilization of all equipment in our lab as well as by keeping the office clean and sanitary. I love creating a friendly and inviting environment to make our patients as comfortable as possible. As a fluent Spanish and English speaker, I often use my language skills to help communicate with our patients. While working here, I am studying to become a dental hygienist, in part because being part of the Pennino Family Dentistry team has helped me realize my passion for the dental field.
When not at work, I like taking walks on scenic trails—in the summer—and making memories with family and friends.

Arianna S
Dental assistant to Dr Connor with 6 years experience in the dental field.
My professional accomplishment is going above and beyond for our patients, to have them feel at ease and comfortable during their procedures and making sure each patient leaves happy with a healthy smile. I believe you should treat others the way you would like to be treated. It is also important to be hardworking, a team player and to have consistency with each patient and each procedure.
Outside of dental assisting I enjoy trying new things and being adventurous. On my off days, I enjoy keeping up with fashion and new trends for when I’m working on clients in the salon. I like to have a positive outlook on life and a good sense of humor everyday

It is my job to ensure that patients’ appointments run smoothly. I work alongside Dr. Doug, striving to provide the best patient care throughout every visit. My favorite part of the job is helping patients to feel relaxed and comfortable. As a child, I feared the dentist, and going traumatized me. Now as an assistant, I always do everything in my power to help patients have a positive experience. It is really rewarding to see little children who love to be seen!
I married my high school sweetheart, and together we have two beautiful children and two dogs. We love being outside and enjoy family vacations to Pentwater, Michigan.

Dulce G
I started my career as a dental assistant right after graduating high school and have become an experienced four-handed chairside assistant. While I work with all of our dentists, I spend most of my time working with Dr. Chase. Fluent bilingual, I help communicate with our Spanish-speaking patients. As a compassionate person, I believe serving others adds great meaning to life.
When not at work, I enjoy the simple things in life, like spending time with my husband and doing what I can to maintain a healthy and positive lifestyle.
